The modern.toronto is 3500 square feet of exhibition space located at 68 Abell St., Abell Alley, Toronto, in the heart of the arts district.

The modern.toronto is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to educating the public and increasing the public’s understanding and appreciation of the arts.

The modern.toronto exhibits and promotes modern visual art in the form of non-objective abstract art by Canadian and international artists whose works are innovative and influential. Non-objective abstract or abstract expressionism is a post-World War II genre of art that is nonrepresentational and improvisational. This style characteristically depicts non-organic images in an unstructured space, emphasizing emotional expression and technique.

As a not-for-organization, the modern.toronto gratefully accepts monetary donations and will issue a Charitable Donation receipt in return.

Board of Directors and Staff:

Ben Woolfitt, Executive Director

Bonnie Kievit, Director

Susan Breitner, Treasurer

Jim Billett, Financial Advisor

Jack Hauck, Gallery Manager
